Chapter 9

Lord of the Flies
Chapter 9 - A View to a Death
"Was the thing right???"
Perspective: ME!!!!

1. Everything that was beautiful about Simons haven is now gone because of the hunters, ther is blood and gore and the gastly pigs head. All of the flies just buzz around what is left of the pig, just guts and blood, and dont buzz around Simon.
2. After Simon recovers from his shock of everything that the pigs head told him he decides to go up the mountain to see what Samneric really saw
3. Simon gets up to the mountain totally drained he sees the dead pilot and then frees his parachut from the rocks andd trees that it was tangled in. He realized that when the wind blew it moved but it wasn't alive.
4. Piggy says that they might want to go to Jack's feast
5. When they get there everyone goes quite because they all know that Ralph and Jack aern't on good terms. Then PIggy gets burned by the pig and everyone laughs and they are united by Piggy's hurt.
6. Jack says that the conch is viod and will not be respected at the other end of the island.
7. As the party comes closer to the end the weather gets morse and worse. It ends up in a full on lightning storm.
8. “Kill the beast, cut his throat, spill his blood”.
9. Simon comes out of the jungle when the storm is in full swing and tries to tell the boys what the beast was.

10. Jack caused Simons death. Jack used it to distract the boys from the other things that were going on at the moment and he told everyone to grab a weapon. Jack loves the hunt of the pig and he was jumping at a chance it kill something again, he got carried away as he always does and didn't pay any attention to what they were killing. Even Ralph and Piggy joined because Jack made it feel important and a good thing to do. Jack looks at it as a problem solving solution. When it was thundering Jack told everyone to come a form a hunting circle because it seemed to almost keep them safe from anything that could happen, it seemed that anger and violence could do that. What happened to Simon is tragic because if Jack, who was leading them all, hadn't taught them that killing was good and if he paid more attention to what he was killing the Simon could have been saved from being taken away by the phosphorescence animals and out to sea.
