Chapter 12- The Cry of the Hunters

After Piggy died all of the boys started hunting Ralph. He runs and, funny enough, ends up where I meditated and I got warned of my death. The place where the Lord of the Flies was created, where I got warned of my death. Ralph finds the Lord of the Flies and destroys him. He finally destroys the evil thing. When Ralph hears all of the Hunters cooking and chanting he comes back to try and spy them. He realizes that Samneric are on guard so he goes up to talk to them. They give him meat and and tell him that they are all going to hunt him tomorrow. They even show him what the ululation will be if they find him. They say that Roger and Jack forced them to join and they had to because they beat them. They also told him that Roger had a stick that was sharpened at both end. That's how he created the Lord of the Flies, what do they have planned for Ralph? That scares me. The beastie is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the boys every day.

After he talks to Samneric and tells them were he is going to hide he goes and hides in a thicket very close to castle rock thinking that he can diddle the boys by hiding so close. But Eric betrayed him and the boys first threw a huge rock that was supposed to crush his hiding place. Like they killed Piggy. Then they lit fire to his hiding place and set up a cordon so he wouldn't escape.

When he rushes onto the beach and sees the Naval officer with his nice drill and epaulets and that saves him. Jack is chasing after him and everyone stops when they see an adult. Percival Wemys Madison, the boy who would recite his name and address every moment of every single day because it offered the poor child comfort. He walked up to the officer but then forgot everything that had been taught to him about himself. He just stuttered and went back to the other littleuns. And after everything that Jack has done on the island, Ralph still took credit for it. He still said that he was leader even though he was being hunted. But maybe he was because he wasn't corrupted that he was the true leader. The officer is still disappointed in all of the boys because they are British. But no matter what you are the beastie is in you.
